I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Expedia Group in May 2026
Interview
I had a mixed experience interviewing with Expedia Group. The recruiter communication was initially positive and interviews were scheduled promptly. However, I noticed the requisition was closed before my interview took place, which created some confusion about the status of the role.
On the interview day, there was a delay in joining the meeting, and the discussion felt somewhat rushed. Shortly afterward, I was informed that another candidate had been selected.
I appreciate the opportunity to interview, but greater transparency and coordination throughout the process would help create a better candidate experience.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Expedia Group (Gurgaon, Haryana) in Nov 2017
Interview
Worst interview ever. I must admit that I should have probed consultant and recruiter more about role and responsibilities.
Process started with one consultant calling me up if I will be interested in Expedia. I asked about role and JD and answer came as they will forward it. Next day, consultant rang me up and told me that Expedia would like to talk to me. I agreed. HR at Expedia just dropped me an e-mail that role will be of SDM, please come to office at 12:00.
Consultant called me again and again just to make sure that I reach Expedia office.
Interview lasted only 5 minutes. 3 minutes interviewer yelling on recruiter asking for my CV while I offered him hard-copy of CV and explaining my role at my current company managing 20 technical people with experience ranging from 2 years to 20+ years. Interview ended when Interviewer asked who signs the performance appraisal of my team. I don't do that and interviewer said it's mandatory for role they are hiring. I explained him that I sit during appraisal and advice my director related to performance and If it doesn't satisfy, I will learn on-job. Interviewer was adamant.
In total, I spent 5 minutes in interview while driving 4 hours to and fro Noida to Gurgaon.
