The worst interview process I have had during recruiting, the HR team is mostly from the states and there's a lot of disconnect with the Canadian side.
1. I had mentioned that I had another offer and gave a timeline of when I would hear back. I got confirmation over the call with the HR Manager. Days had passed after the Superday interview with radio silence and no reply to my emails either. Finally, get a phone call after my deadline with a rejection call.
The expectation for Superday is 4-5 hrs of work but trust me it was more like 10-15 hrs of research.
2. I get a second rejection call two weeks later of the same. The recruiter had forgotten about the conversation and chat two weeks prior to it. They sounded really embarrassed and didn't apologize.
This shows how much they value their candidates and how poorly the HR team functions. This experience has scarred my experience with Gartner and would never interview with them ever.
I'm not mad just disappointed in the experience I had to go through as an applicant. There are other firms that value you more tbh.

Question 1
Q: Superday Case - Help a municipality pick a social service program, market sizing and choose a CSaaS provider.
The process involved 4 rounds: 1. HR basic detail clarification round, 2. Technical round if interview with hiring manager, 3. Case study, 4. Interview with a panel of 2-3 Senior Directors to check your fit with the firm.

Question 1
My research and analytical capabilities across multiple sources to create a triangulated solution to a given problem.
Interview experience was terrible. Interviewer arrived two hours late, wasted my time, and only revealed at the end that the role didn’t even exist. Completely unprofessional and frustrating for candidates.
Lengthy multiple phase interview which included a typical job interview followed by a business case.
The questions were mostly personal with a strong focus on fit and feeling out how much of a grinder you are.
The business case was quite hard (it was on the education sector, weird) and I had to develop a single slide solution a very short space of time on a very rubbish laptop.
All in all - the whole process seemed design to fail people not pass them.
