I was already on notice period when Genpact interviewed me for Big data developer role for Hyderabad location. I already had an offer in hand and I shared salary figure with the company. I was asked to appear for interview process and was told salary will be negotiated later and when it came to negotiations, I was offered 15% less salary than the one I already had. When asked for reason, I was told that Genpact can offer max this much for your experience. I could not figure out why I was even interviewed when company already knew about the offer I had. After receiving salary break up over mail, I politely declined that offer.
