TL;DR - 6 interviewers, 4 hours of travel, 2 hours of interview. No response. No denial, and no thank you for coming out.
--------------‐-------------------------
I had a great interview with the new head of sales at the end of May for a Customer Success Manager(CSM) position. We connected on motorcycles, plants, living out of the city, and coming into the office 5 days a week. He was happy enough to invite me to there office in Parsippany New Jersey at the end of the interview(I live in Brooklyn NY)
He had a family vacation and a few more interviews, so they weren't looking to train/onboard until August. So he invited me out in mid-june to meet the team, and interview with 5 seprate people.
I drove from Brooklyn to Parsippany New Jersey, about 2 hours each way. I participated in 2.5 hours of consecutive 1 on 1 interviews with the CEO, the CFO, head of Product, who would be my supervisor, and one other.
Everyone was nice and respectful.
But they never followed up. I sent an email thanking them that day, and followed up twice after.
No response, no denial, no thank you for your time.
For spending a while day, driving out and meeting 5 different people, no response(even a denial) feels horrible and pretty disrespectful
