I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Google (Seattle, WA) in Jun 2022
Interview
There are various phases with Google to get in the door. First is general recruiter screening, secondly will be a tech screen with someone at Google. From there, if they feel you're worth the time you'll move on to a cycle of 5 more 45 minute interviews. You will be challenged with everything from cognitive ability, to leadership (Googleyness)! After these are done, if you actually did okay, they will come back and either put you into the team matching phase directly where you'll meet with various hiring managers based on your region of choice and interview feedback to have 30 minute calls to see if it's a fit. If you did okay but potentially bombed some of the tech interviews, they may push you to a lower level or suggest you have a few more interviews for a PgM role. I had to go through two more to actually land the gig, so just be prepared. I will say that this place was more then friendly and worked with me more than any company I've ever interviewed with in my life. They actually care and want you to succeed which blew my mind a bit!

Question 1
Imagine you work on a team with an individual or in a negative culture, how would you address the issues with this individual or team?
Good interviewers that ask a lot of questions to gauge your domain knowledge. Do not feel daunted because they just need to know your thought process. Speak more and out loud. Think out loud.
Two process interview. was not clear. first interview with recruiter which thought it will go well. second with Hiring manager which was not clear what was asked or needed. Not sure why went through this.

I applied online. I interviewed at Google (Amsterdam) in May 2026
Interview
had first interview with recruiter - she was nice. thought that I was the right person for the job. Second interview with manager from the US. was less good. felt like the main reason for the interview was to hire a similar person to the person who was interviewing. we talked at night (for me) and was 30 min over the interview allocated time, but the morning after I got a rejection call.
