Question 1
Nobody has any knowledge of information security here that you will interview with, so read about Unix flavors and incident response plans from 2001 to be prepared.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Hilton
Interview
I have mixed reviews regarding the interview process. While I enjoyed meeting with the team and I feel like it's a great company to work for the interview process itself was drawn out. There was a minimum of a week in between each interview stage which was a bit frustrating and caused me to lose momentum throughout the process. I think I would have felt better about the extent of time this pipeline took if I had been given at least a small amount of feedback
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Hilton (San Jose, CA)
Interview
video interview. interviewer was disdainful and made rueful expressions and gestures the whole time. kept looking at me as though i was something he didn't expect to find in his toilet. interviewer was obviously racist and had no intention of hiring me, only wanted someone that looks like him. hilton is in the HOSPITALITY industry. the least they could do is to train their interviewers to keep their contempt to themselves. obviously i won't be staying in a hilton hotel ever again.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Hilton (McLean, VA) in Feb 2017
Interview
Overall it was very professional and organized, including a lunch interview with a VP. One major downside was that I was told I was one of two finalists and never provided an official or formal answer on the job selection.
