Go to the hotel and fill out an application. If you show up at a time when they have just had an opening, you have a much better chance of getting called for an interview. Check back to see if they are hiring and let them know you have applied.

awkward, on a couch, unprofessional, pointless, weird, frusterating, waste of time, easy, not technical, had to repeatedly ask manager for information, hard to have a conversation, low energy, done in public
Met with Front Desk Manager, had to wait for about 10 minutes past scheduled time. Interview took about 30 minutes, she read from a list of questions, and wrote down my responses. At the end she took me up to a room and asked me to sell the room like I would for a walk-in customer.
