      I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at HubSpot (Singapore) in Feb 2018

      Interview

      It was an online interview using a third party website. Before you start your interview, there are practice questions to test it out first before attempting the real thing. Upon starting the official interview, you'll be led to a page with guidelines (30 seconds to read the question, 2 minutes to answer) and also a video recorded by the recruiter to share about the company and to ask you to relax. I found that really helpful in calming the nerves! They said that a 30s answer is better than blabbering for 2mins, so don't have to worry about not stretching your answer to the full duration. A total of 7 questions, 1 written response.

      Interview

      The process started with a brief introductory phone call with an HR representative. The second stage was a practical role-play interview where I had to resolve a customer's issue using a chat simulation. I shared my screen throughout this task, using the company's knowledge base, Google, and AI tools to find a solution. The focus was clearly on my problem-solving method rather than just getting the right answer. The final stage consisted of three consecutive interviews with a hiring manager and two team leads, where they asked standard behavioral questions. The entire process was very efficient and took less than two weeks.
