I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Insight Global (Austin, TX) in Mar 2013
Interview
I submitted my application online through my school's career center website. From there I emailed the recruiter who posted the job and let him know that I was interested. Conveniently, he was going to be at the career fair that week. So I met him and other employees there. About a week or 2 later, I got an email wanting to set up a face to face interview. At the face to face interview I spoke with 2 girls. They were both VERY conversational and nice. Extremely easy to talk to. They seemed like they genuinely wanted to know about me. They asked a few basic interview questions regarding my interest in sales and also people skills. After I spoke to both of them, I got asked back to have lunch with them that same week. Lunch was very conversational, they wanted me to show them that I could hold a conversation and also drive a decent conversation.
I was messaged by a recruiter on linkedin and had a phone call with her, and then was set up with a first round interview with one of the sales managers for the office I applied for. In this interview I found the questions asked to be very strangely worded for it to be a sales job.
The interview process was long, it consisted of a lot of phone calls with the recruiter prepping you for the interviews. The in person interview felt very calculated and fake. Although I’m sure the managers meant well you could tell they were very judgmental. I’ve also heard awful things about this company so I think it was a blessing. Good luck though!
