The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Intercom in Feb 2021
Interview
Was called for an initial interview screening process. Spent alot of time asking questions (i.e. what new skill/hobby did you pick up during the Pandemic). Not really impressed with these types of random questions. When he discussed the base pay, I quickly advised that it is well below my current salary. He then tried to talk me into considering it, mentioned you can move up the ranks etc. I then mentioned another role they had advertised and asked if it would pay more etc. And he said i wouldn't be suitable for this role as I dont have 'specific industry experience' which is an indication to their culture. I withdrew my application as soon as I got off the phone. I knew it was a bit weird that the salary range was no where to be found. Also, I see them post the same roles every so often.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What new hobby or skill did you pick up during the Pandemic? (This was seriously asked).
First had a preliminary sales call, then had a further three hour long interview for the final round. Final interview consisted of multiple interviews with multiple people, including a mock sales call.
A quick intro call followed by an interview going through a sales process. Talks about your experience but mostly analyzing what kind of person you are. They look to really build people and promote from within
