I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Nutanix (San Jose, CA) in Feb 2018
Interview
Recruiter contacted me when I applied online for the position. I was asked to give a date for my initial phone screen. The phone interview comprised of two coding questions. These were Leetcode Medium level questions and I was able to do both. After that I was invited onsite, there I had 7 rounds of interviews of which 5 were technical. The rounds mostly had Algorithms and data structures based questions. Overall, I really had a great time interviewing, the interviewers were really helpful and guided me when I went off track. I really had a good experience interviewing at Nutanix.
In total I had 4 interview rounds, which are described as follows.
Round 1: Screening- Two coding questions, one easy and another medium to hard level coding question, both of which I solved. Basic questions on Python and Kubernetes.
Round 2: Technical (Face-to-face)-2 to 3 Coding questions of medium level. Scenario based questions according to profile. It went on for another hour.
Round 3: Technical(Face-to-Face)- Real life based problems asked including some questions on Algorithms.
Round 4: Behavioral(Face-to-Face) It went on for 2 hrs. Questions mostly on previously done work and revolve around how much understanding and experience you had in past.
All the interviewers were friendly and welcoming. I instantly loved the culture when I walked into their office. It was my dream company and I got selected :)
