      Senior Manager Interview

      7 Oct 2022
      Anonymous employee
      Toronto, ON
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Salesforce (Toronto, ON) in Sept 2022

      Interview

I interviewed for 5 different roles at Salesforce over a one year period, so I have a good insight into the recruiting process! The interview process is in multiple phases: 1st: Initial phone call with the recruiter to screen you for suitability. I always made it past this stage as you are usually good to go if you match your application. 2nd: Meeting with the hiring manager. Questions are straight forward about your work experience. There are set interview questions that are the "tell me about a time" style, but less complicated or complex than most behavioral interview questions tend to be. The hiring managers are always great to talk to and very friendly. I like to highlight my community involvement as well as it ties in nicely with Salesforce values. 3rd: Multiple meetings with current team members for the team you are being hired on and/or senior leaders from other teams (usually 4, sometimes 3). This is a good way to meet the team and other people to see if you are a good fit. The questions are similar, so I like to prepare different examples ahead of time to use so that I am not giving the same experience every time. 4th: Sometimes there is a 4th meeting with the hiring manager again or their leader, but usually the process ends after meeting with the team. The recruiting process and recruiters are by far the best in the world. I also interviewed at Google, Apple, Oracle, Microsoft, Door Dash etc. and they do not even compare to how professional, upfront in communications and easy to follow interviews that Salesforce has! It would be nice if there were a few less interviews during the process, but everyone was wonderful to speak with.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Lots of questions around managing rapid change; examples of being flexible when the directions are ambiguous; also how I have managed large transformational projects. My role was non-technical, so I would assume a technical interview would be based more on the hands on portion of those roles.

      Sr. Manager Interview

      13 Feb 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

      I interviewed at Salesforce

      Interview

Standard process of phone screen with recruiter asking qualifying questions and then explaining the process moving forward. Moved on to video interview with hiring manager going into more detail on background and asking technical questions to understand knowledge and methodologies. Interviews went well and hiring manager said recruiter would be in touch. I reached out after a few days to follow up but received no response. I understand if they found another candidate, but have the professionalism to let candidates know they're moving on with others.
