      Airport Customer Service Interview

      13 Oct 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Fort Lauderdale, FL
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines (Fort Lauderdale, FL) in Oct 2016

      Interview

So I applied for the CSR position within minutes of it posting on Indeed. I'm gonna be as specific as possible because I see certain airports do things differently than others and I don't want anyone to get discouragrd like I'm trying to avoid while waiting. I believe it was around 8/28 or so when I applied. Early October I received a phone call from a recruiter asking if I was still interested in the job OF COURSE I WAS. He basically explained the position and pay. The pay wasn't a heck of a lot, but the opportunity is grand! That same day I received an email that encouraged me to complete my 10 year employment history including any gaps of employment and rental history. I also received an email offering me a F2F the upcoming week. I arrived on time. I was nervous at first but I knew I had to be myself in order to nail this interview. I made sure I smiled a lot and spoke to people. I was told to have a seat and there was a gentleman there waiting also. I tried to have small talk with him but he wasn't having it...lol. Two ladies met us and took us to a trailer for the interview due to the remodeling. They split us up. One lady took him and one me...I went into an office where the HR person was joined by the CS supervisor. Very laid back yet very detailed interview. We laughed a lot and I was on point with everything. One lady even said she could tell that I had done my homework. I was very honest and natural. It definitely showed. They asked about community involvement, the pay, the position, training and culture. Once done they asked me to complete a form for the background (I think everyone does this). Once done they walked me out. They did mention training is twice a month and that I would hear something soon. 2 weeks or less. I hope this helps someone because I'm on pins and needles waiting. All kinds of things are going through my mind...like what if I screwed up. I do have 2 other offers on the table so all is not lost. But fingers crossed.
