I applied online. The process took a year or more. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines in Nov 2017
Interview
Applied online Aug 2016, they send me a email June 2017 letting be know that my application was still in file. Received a call from a recruiter in Sept 2017 to see if still interested and that I will get a call or email for a phone interview in 3weeks. Received call to set up interview 2weeks later passed. Then was set up for f2f interview, then arranged for my flight to Dallas Texas 2 weeks after and her I am. Tomorrow is my f2f. BTW phone interview was 15 minutes.
Application, ODVI, F2F. All pretty straightforward, emphasize safety and customer service. If they like you, youll get moved onto F2F round. Practice STAR Method and be comfortable talking in front of a camera

Interview
So far, it has been moving at a great pace. I have only completed my on demand interview, and I am scheduled to attend my face to face in the near future! The online interview was great - be yourself, smile, and use the uninterrupted time to really express yourself! I'm very grateful for this opportunity and best of luck to all those applying!
