Recruiter reached out to me on Linkedin about an opportunity with a reputable brand. I responded promptly and didn't hear back from her for a few days and had to follow up twice to receive a response back, then had to follow up once more to confirm a time to speak to one another and she only gave me an hour's notice before scheduling that call. It felt like I was begging her to speak to me when she was the one who reached out in the first place.
Most of the interview was fine. However, when speaking about salary, she did insinuate that because I hadn't worked in some months due to a layoff, I should accept a lower salary that what I stated. I found this to be super unprofessional and frankly quite rude that just because I hadn't worked recently erases the previous many years of employment that I have. She said she'd discuss with her manager and let me know, but I never heard from her after the interview.
