I sent my resume to the HR after contacting him through linked in. I got an interview scheduled by 3 or 4 days with the hiring manager. The manager asked detailed questions about my work experience, protocols I worked on. Why am I looking for a change etc. It went for one hour and it was good.
2nd round was technical
If I had prepared properly it would have been an easy round. The interviewer was very supportive and helping me solve the questions. But I went under prepared. So could not crack it.

One friendly interview straight out of University where I showed projects, githubs etc. One technical interview where I was asked to explain different keywords used in the job.
