      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Uber (San Francisco, CA) in Jul 2019

      Interview

I applied online through Uber portal and received an invitation for catch-up with the recruiter. This was the screening round and the questions were mostly about my experience and their relevance to the role. As soon as the call ended, the recruiter sent me an analytical exercise, and I had 2 working days to submit a detailed presentation on it. Upon clearing this round, I was invited for onsite interviews, which were 4 back to back rounds. 3 of these were behavioral rounds and the 4th was panel presentation of the analytical exercise that I had submitted earlier. Upon clearing the on-site round, I was then interviewed by the Director of the org. This was mostly a fitment round. 1 week later‌, I had the offer! Overall the process took me 4 weeks, but the entire process was very well run. The entire panel was very friendly and the recruiter especially was very reachable and forthcoming with answers to any and all questions that I had.

      I interviewed at Uber (Sydney)

      Interview

Step 1: recruiter call - recruiter was approachable and friendly. Explained the role at a high level. Step 2: hiring manager interview - Usual behavioral questions, why uber eats, why should we pick you etc. Step 3: case study: Very time consuming, and also very broad, so had to make lots of 'assumptions'. Overall interview process was 7/10.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Uber (New York, NY) in Jul 2019

      Interview

The interview consists of four stages - 1st round HR phone interview: very professional and efficient, the HR asked standard behavrioal questions and sent over the 2nd round analytics test right after the call 2nd round two-hour analytics test: just do a simple search online you can find many study materials. If you have high level excel skills you should be fine, but make sure you study some Uber terminologies prior. 3rd round - zoom interview 1:1. For this round they initially scheduled a 30 minute with me with a manager, who ended up not showing up at all. So they rescheduled another session the next day with someone who is the same level with me - senior associate, which was odd. Overall just standard simple case questions and I thought it went well. Last round - case study & 1.5 hour 'on-site' This is where I felt it was completely misleading and they simply do not respect candidates' time and effort. Case study was standard, they expect 1 hour presentation after 2 business days, which was fine. I prepared everything I could for this and went 'on-site'. Little did I know there was no one present with me at all, I got led to a conference there got computer screen setup and there was that. The 1:1 happened on zoom, simple behavioral question for 30 mins. The one hour presentation panel was 3 people on zoom also, where you could barely hear each other, they were not paying attention the entire time and just typing away on their laptops/cellphones. They did not care about your presentation or who you are as a candidate, no feedback or much reaction throughout the entire one hour. After two days, HR called said I did not get the job, refused to give any feedback and just said the team enjoyed all the strategies I offered and the hard work I put in but no reason or feedback for not hiring. The whole setup and panel just seemed extremely disingenuous and it is a complete total waste of time for any dedicated or hardworking candidates because they do not even care about you as a person nor do they listen to anything you have painstakingly worked on.
