Was passively exploring when a recruiter from Uber reached out on LinkedIn. Started with a standard recruiter screen - resume walkthrough, past PM roles, and why Uber. Next was a 45-min telephonic with a PM - focused on product sense, metrics, and execution. Got questions like how to grow Uber’s user base and airport pickup-dropoff imbalance. Practiced PM-style estimation + metric questions beforehand using mocks on Prepfully - super helpful. Onsite was a mix of PMs, engineers, data scientists, and marketers. Covered product strategy, analytics, execution, and tech depth (surge pricing, GTM for Uber India, driver churn). Interviews were conversational but sharp - lots of follow-ups and challenges. Jam session was the most unique - 25-min product pitch based on a prompt. Very interactive, with panelists cutting in to test clarity, thinking, and flexibility. Practiced mine with a Prepfully coach, which helped structure it well. If you’re interviewing for GPM, expect people management rounds too - handling team conflicts, mentoring, stakeholder alignment. They really care about your leadership depth and cross-functional influence. Overall, Uber interviews are structured and impact-driven. Clear thinking, strong data orientation, and product ownership mindset are key. Glad I prepped with mocks and real Uber case examples - made a huge difference.
