I was an internal hire so was approached about the job. I have ~2 weeks to think about it. I applied- resume and cover letter required. I had an interview set up within a week. The interview was with my the manager of the job, not HR. I actually never spoke to HR until the offer letter. The goal was to learn more about the job and me and see if it was the right fit and we felt it was.
