I was not happy they conducted the whole interview process. They kept on taking rounds and at the end came up with a silly offer with a salary amount much lesser than the current CTC. They should have done the shortlisting appropriately keeping the current CTC and technical expertise in mind. It was not even clear what the Hiring Leadership actually wanted. It was even unfortunate that recruiting consultant were not shared about the whole process, how long it would take so that an aspiring candidate can plan out his day's things properly.
Advice to company :
- Please be sensitive about a person's time.
- Please shortlist the candidate based on what you are looking for and respect his time and effort.
- No point in conducting telephonic interview from office.
- Be clear what actually you are looking for upfront and save your time and candidate's time.
- Check whether expected CTC you can match or not upfront rather than coming up with silly figure after all rounds.
- Have trust what a candidate is saying. Listen to his reason for looking for change with an open mind.
Advice to candidate :
- Won't recommend to go for the selection process unless you are super clear they can match CTC upfront or not.
