I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Vodafone (Brighton, England) in Mar 2017
Interview
Applied online then within minutes was sent an invitation for a video interview. I went through this which was fine and the same day was told this had been successful and was invited for a interview in store. Interview went in 3 parts. 1) presentation (presentation on a fictional item which we had to prepare prior to the interview) 2) customer interaction (role play between interviewee and interviewer who pretends to be an unhappy customer. 3) general interview questions.
This all was a bit intimidating and way too much for a retail high street job. I was informed I'd be told of the result and fortunately was not successful. I say fortunately because from the interview, you can already gauge the pressure put on staff to meet targets and sales and I am not sure it's an environment I'd be too happy working in based on my attendance at the store.
The process was a neutral experience although I do appreciate the speedy detailed feedback on my interview.

I interviewed at Vodafone (Guildford, England)
Interview
focus on your customer service, sales skills, and alignment with their values, asking about handling difficult customers, meeting targets, teamwork, and improving experiences, often using behavioral questions like "Tell me about a time..." requiring STAR method answers (Situation, Task, Action, Result). Expect questions about your past experiences, goals, why Vodafone, and scenarios demonstrating handling upset customers or achieving KPIs.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Vodafone (Bath, England) in Aug 2025
Interview
Easy. Just submitted online, had a chat with the manager and she gave me the job, Didn't actually need the job though, was basically just applying because I was bored. I actually have a full corporate job.
Online assessment followed by an in-person interview. The in-person interview was part behavioural and part sales role play. They would like to see sales skills such as customer needs being explored, a suitable pitch for a product that solves their problems/addresses their needs and closing.
