I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Walmart (Albuquerque, NM) in May 2011
Interview
It all depends on the store which you are coming from. I busted ass as an hourly associate in order to get an interview for assistant manager. Some stores recognize hard work and determination, some don't. Some act like upper management is an unacheivable goal. The interview process is easy, just going over competencies.
