I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Walmart (La Crosse, WI) in Aug 2012
Interview
I was called for an interview for the position of a grocery associate. I was taken into the personnel room and interviewed by the Front End Zone Supervisor. After which, I immediately got a second interview with another management type. They then called me to accept a job offer and the store manager had me go over what the cashier role was like and asked if I thought I could do the job. I said yes and accepted the job offer after which I took a drug test and then was called for when to go into orientation, after which you have a few days of taking CBL's (computer based learning) and once you have finished all those and passed, you get on the floor and are trained for two or three days.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I would say the questions about customers in the past were the most difficult for me to answer, only because I had been working at home for so long and I don't really think it would be as difficult for other people who weren't in my shoes.
I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Walmart (Vancouver, BC) in Oct 2024
Interview
They asked you the availability for working time and hours, how will you handle between customers and tasks. Could you handle the heavy load of items like lifting work. Asking you how did you know the company values and some cultures
I applied online. I interviewed at Walmart (Regina, SK) in Dec 2023
Interview
They usually ask situation based questions. Situations from past experiences and walmart working conditions. i.e. If it is almost a time for you shift end and you are still working on tasks assigned to you. And a customer asks you for some help. How would you respond?
