      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Wells Fargo (Charlotte, NC) in Jun 2010

      Interview

Applied online via internal website for current employees. Had initial phone screen with recruiter approximately two weeks after I submitted my application. The questions were general HR questions - tell me about yourself, what do you like to do, why are you interested in this position, etc. The recruiter advised that I would hear from her in approximately two weeks; received a form email several weeks later advising that they had selected another candidate.

      Marketing Program Manager Interview

      6 Dec 2018

      Negative experience

      Application

The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Wells Fargo (San Francisco, CA) in Sept 2018

      Interview

Wells Fargo has a very structured interviewing process which is reflected in their interviewing style and questions. Given that, I would have thought the recruiter would have set clearer expectations on the overall process. This was one of the most negative experiences in my professional career. My review isn't on the types of questions but rather how they treat their candidates. I was approached by a recruiter and did not apply or pursue this position on my own. The entire process was over the course of three months in which I spoke with nearly 5-6 individuals over the phone mainly because everyone works remotely across the U.S. Over the course of these months I was never given any direction on next steps and/or feedback during any point. The recruiter was absent and did not follow up. When I had to inquire on status after 3 weeks from my last interview, a system generated "reject" email was sent vs. a personal call and/or email from the recruiter. I found this to be very unprofessional given the amount of investment both myself and Wells Fargo contributed to the interview. Wells Fargo and the recruiter I worked with showed no consideration of my time and investment into the process. Especially considering they approached me. They provided me no feedback on my progress during the process and why I was being declined for the position. Their interviewing process is a reflection of their egocentric corporate culture which trickles down to their banking practices.
