I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Workday in Mar 2022
Interview
- UML Diagramming (Object Oriented Programming, classes, attributes, relationships) and Improving model question (how to simplify existing relationships, minimize the methods and attributes, cardinality, etc.)
- behavioral HR interview about technical experience and personal background
I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Workday (Pleasanton, CA) in Oct 2013
Interview
It was a very positive and straightforward process. There were a series of interviews with about 7-8 different people. Most of the interviews were focused on culture fit and being able to explain technical problems clearly. There was also a tech test, which required understanding OO concepts and UML diagramming.

Question 1
Why do you want to apply for the application developer position as opposed to the traditional software development position?
I first had a phone call that was mostly behavioral to talk about the company, the position, and my qualifications. I later went on-site that consisted of 5 interviews. Everyone I talked to was friendly and sincerely seemed to enjoy what they were doing there. It was a laid-back interview process for the most part.
