Hiring and interview process took a month. Initial phone screening happened in a week and the face to face was scheduled two more weeks later. Interview was pretty normal and involved lot of process and behavioral questions. They really want to know whether you have faced some challenges they are facing right now and wanted to know how it will be handled.

      Interview

I applied for a position in workday. But the recruiter reached out to be for some other position which was much more technical and no really similar to what I had applied for. In any case I decided to give it a try and had a phone interview. The interviewer didnt ask anything from my resume or my background/prior projects but directly jumped into technical questions after asking me what is my strongest programming language.

      Anonymous interview candidate
      Pleasanton, CA
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Workday (Pleasanton, CA) in Sept 2015

      Interview

Interview process is ok, but they do not have minimum courtesy to get back to you after the onsite interviews are done. Recruiter never replies to email. If you want a job, never show that you have good coding skills because they don't want a candidate with knowledge. The interviews are all soft skill based. The job description posted shows a lot of technical knowledge but they are not looking for any. They want people who can test manually only. Some current employees also mentioned about proprietary software and that is absolutely true.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

Everything is proprietary in most of the teams. so, can you work on proprietary tool and can you only do manual testing?
