      Entry-Level Software Engineer Interview

      19 Oct 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Los Angeles, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Workday (Los Angeles, CA) in Oct 2015

      Interview

Talked to them at a career fair on campus. They brought me in a couple days later for an on-campus interview which I assumed was a screening interview. I'm not a CS major but my interviewer really didn't end up asking me much of anything and was generally very difficult to talk to. I was also caught off guard when he gave me a design question, because I had mostly been practicing coding questions, and I have other friends who were asked mostly knowledge based questions as well.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

      1. Design a program that monitor a parking lot with different types of spaces, and whether or not you should reallocate some spots to another type 2. Why would you use inheritance rather than a data member for different types of spaces?
