I went through a multi-stage process with Zycus, including a recruiter screening, two individual interviews, and a final panel demo session. The earlier stages were fine.
The panel session, however, was a disappointing and disrespectful experience. I was invited to a one-hour session with four named participants. Three did not show up — no prior notice, no apology before the call. One of the two who did attend was visibly unprepared: unfamiliar with the format, and clearly had not reviewed my profile.
After 25 minutes, the remaining panelist cut the session short citing another commitment.
I had invested considerable time preparing a tailored presentation and demo. That investment was met with a lack of basic professionalism and a level of disorganization that, frankly, speaks to how candidates are valued in this process.
If you are considering applying: the role may be interesting, but be prepared for a process that does not necessarily reflect the same standards you will bring to it.
