Pros

1. Good tech stack exposure (atleast till 1 year back, it was) 2. Once very good learning curve and culture when Guna as CTO was there 3. Exposure to Ad tech world 4. Trips to Berlin (good if u can save in 20 euro per day which is given for commute and food) 5. Free breakfast and lunch 6. Good team mates

Cons

There is nothing to be offered if you really want to learn, because you learn more from your seniors in your career. You are lucky if you get to see this review at top, as soon after posting this, there will be many Awesome fake reviews posted and liked to hide this. Highly believe , India office going to shut down where once Applift entire tech work used to happen (they are growing teams in Berlin and cutting strength in India) Every Diwali, they organise dinner party for "APPLIFT FAMILY” inviting you with family members, next day they will fire many. Do not bring ur family to Diwali party in case u join Applift, You might regret the very next day. 1. Not a single successful product in market, all loss making. No person in senior position in Engineering has good tech knowledge, good ones already left. 2. Junior engineers (good breed from good alma mater) get frustrated because of lack of learning and constant changing decisions. Repeating again, you wont get any technical learnings from seniors if that matters to you. 3. Managers will keep changing their words and promises after every meeting from Berlin management. They are spineless, do not trust a single word. They are just saving their jobs till the time they can, something bad happens, you will be the one feeling heat. 4. No vision in tech, the management is from marketing, they do not understand how tech works .

Thank you for your feedback. I would like to share a few thoughts with you about how we think about our company, how we structure and run our processes and systems in pursuit of our objectives as a company that values its employees, that is ethical, and where people genuinely care about their colleagues. At AppLift, building a transparent culture is very important to us. There are very few companies where business results are shared on a weekly basis with all employees. Market trends, what is working and what is not, what we are trying, are all discussed proactively. Teams organize their offsites and come together across continents to discuss issues of mutual interest. A big part of executive visits is towards sharing information and hearing from people. We continue to actively invest in growing and nurturing our people. Whether it be through our talent identification programs, courses that our team members can take, or fireside chats from executives that discuss the state of the industry and what it means for us, we have a personal interest in growing people. None of the above means that we are perfect. We can do more. We are self-critical ourselves, hear sincerely from our people, and take active steps to incorporate feedback. Towards it, your feedback will also help. Thank you. About the India office specifically, it is well regarded in the company, and healthy. It is growing proportionally with business scale and will continue to do so. I am very happy to meet with you over coffee to discuss, in an honest and open manner, more about the issues you write about, and to share the steps we have implemented. Thanks again and all the best, Rajiv

Pros

1. Good amount of high quality work. 2. Brilliant team & People 3. Global presence & options to travel

Cons

1. Extreme bureaucracy. 2. Compulsory 9 hour everyday work will be clocked by fingerprint scanner. 3. Total directionless and opaque management 4. HR team is quite not upto the task. 5. Poor increments. Basically you have to fight for basic things every office provides like: Flexible working hours, office supplies, parking. Top management just don't care?

Hi there, thank you very much for your comments about AppLift and taking the time to share your feedback. It's great to hear that you value our team and the work we do. We always try to deliver the best products and services in the market. We can only achieve this with the best team! It's also great to hear that you enjoy the international work environment with all of its career development opportunities. So far we have seen great results from people traveling and collaborating on different projects in all our offices. For some of the things you mentioned I suggest you get in touch with the local HR and office management team. I'm sure we will be able to solve these things. I know for example that our team in Bangalore is already working on the parking issue in our office. Regarding working hours and time tracking I can only refer to one of our previous posts. Unfortunately we have to stick to local labor law regulations and present an attendance report in our Bangalore office. However, the tool is not designed to track your working hours. We want to keep working hours as flexible as possible. Of course we have to make sure that our global teams still work well together in different time zones. You will find most of the team in the office from 10AM to 7PM (including 1 hour lunch break) - so nobody has to work for 9 hours like you said. Feel free to approach me or the whole HR team to discuss these points. I think it's always the best way to discuss these things in person. Best, Alex

Pros

They did the right thing by firing the MD of India team now it's time to fire the management of other team who has no clue what they are doing in office. It's time to clean up the mess.

Cons

The former MD of India team didn't had the clue what kind of people to hire forget about managing or nurturing them. Such is the management of AppLift India who doesn't know what to do with the positions they are in. Lot of people lost their jobs including me while others are still suffering under the management that he had hired. The management of ad operations team has no clue what they are working on while indulging in office politics, gossip or taking credit for other's work. From asking to work late hours to pushing the people to get unrealistic results, they will do it anything to push you to limits so that they can take credit for your work. In terms of growth nothing is there as the management has no clue how to manage the resources and give them opportunities. As much as 50 people have been fired within 6 months such is the condition of the company and the blame should go to management. Please don't join this company if you want to keep your future intact.
