Company is going downhill

Pros

Great product benefits, good office location, remote work options. Decent yearly bonuses when the company is doing well finacially (currently not the case)

Cons

Management expects you to put in 110% effort and work extra without any additional compensation. There is peer pressure to work extra hours during busy periods because everyone else is doing it. You're also often asked to do tasks outside of your work description, because senior management has certain whims that just have to be done by a certain date. You hear vague promises of potential career growth, how if you just "put in some extra effort" you can achieve XYZ in the company, which is a load of rubbish. The people who have gone up in the company without being best friends with the founders often work nights and weekends with no extra pay all year round and everyone is stressed beyond words. Everything is disorganised and information isn't documented well. You have to ask around if you want to know what's going on in the company, because management hasn't figured out a decent system of how to keep people in the loop.

Pros

Hybrid work model, nice office and location, nice product benefits.

Cons

There is no potential growth in the company, no matter how much effort people put in their work. No referral bonus as in many other companies. The top management has no idea who are their workers, especially on the lowest level of hierarchy, even if the size of the company is not so big. Discrepancy between the qualification of people and their salary. No work-life balance, spamming with Viber messages 24/7 even when in a paid or sick leave. Everything is urgent, the work process is chaotic and nobody knows what are they responsible for.

Pros

They used to provide product allowance, but since they don’t pay the factories anymore, there are almost no new products produced.

Cons

The founders have zero business experience, their previous companies were “gifts” by their oligarch father, so they kept spending much more than they can afford and went into spiraling debt crisis and BY FAR is currently being sued by its marketing agency, showroom, factories, material suppliers, ex-employees, celebrities used for the campaigns, and others. Each attempt to introduce new products failed worse than the previous ones due to their gross incompetence - sneakers, belts, scarves, sunglasses, perfumes, ready-to-wear. The founder kept thinking that they know how to run the company, but just as the designs were copied bags and shoes from older collections of big brands bought off Vestiaire, their only positive business quality is relentless decline to accept a negative answer, which opened them some doors, but they never capitalized on that. They closed the UK office, will close the US one too and the Bulgarian entity is entering into insolvency. The Chinese operation is a complete money sinkhole, with millions invested and not a penny returned.
