Pros

I can assure you that the only thing you'll find here is a team of colleagues who share the same frustrations

Cons

I strongly advise against joining Centurion Selection due to numerous issues I experienced during my employment: My time there was filled with so many problems that it’s hard to know where to start. The management is overly controlling and unsupportive, constantly micromanaging every little detail of your work. Instead of offering help, they rely on fear tactics and intimidation to push for unrealistic performance targets, and will through you under the bus when things go wrong, which just adds to the stress. The culture is toxic, there’s a serious lack of trust between management and employees, leading to high stress levels among most team members. Plus, there are virtually no opportunities for career development unless you dedicate your life to this company while being treated horribly. No HR to go to. When it comes to compensation and benefits, it’s pretty dismal. You get the bare minimum of 20 days holiday a year, but you’re practically forced to use some of them at the end of the year, leaving you with only 17 days off. There’s no health care coverage, and if you call in sick, they deduct that from your pay. It really discourages you from taking time off when you need it. The working conditions are far from ideal too. You’re stuck with outdated equipment and basic supplies that barely function. Expectations are high, with an unwritten rule that you must stay an extra 2-3 hours every day. If you don’t comply, you’re threatened with termination, that completely disregards work-life balance. On top of that, the company seems to be struggling financially. They’ve closed 2-3 offices in the past year, which adds to the overall sense of instability and affects job security. Save yourself the trouble and look for a better opportunity elsewhere even if you are desperate.

Pros

The company does offer a fantastic opportunity for career progression, you are rewarded for hard work. The entry salary is very high. They do offer a great training program during your time with the company. As you progress and find your feet in the company the training programs will develop and help you prepare for the next stage in your career. There is a real friendly atmosphere in the office and Centurion do offer weekly company benefits such as paid breakfast, lunch, and end of period drinks.

Cons

They do work American hours and there is no work from home flexibility.

Pros

Very little pros to this job, the only thing that kept me there is the people I worked alongside. We bonded over how much we hated Centurion Selection.

Cons

The list of cons could go on forever but I will delve into a couple of the incredibly annoying ones that form the pleasure of working at centurion. The level of micromanagement at the company is something I have never come across before, from having someone sit next to you and listen to you make calls for hours or KGB monitoring the number of calls I’ve made, centurion excels at making me feel like a child on a day to day basis. The owner sits in his office all day and has no contact with us like he is the CEO of Blackrock thinking we are scared of him. The company is run on fear, threats, and a lack of empathy for anyone or anything. It is purely number and even if you are putting the numbers up, you get fired. The hours you are contracted to work are fine but there is an underlying expectation that if you don’t stay until 11pm+ every single day, you will lose your job. They make you feel guilty for leaving on time and you are given absolutely nothing in return for putting in the hours every single day, apart from the Monopoly money that goes up on the board of course. There is no life outside of centurion for anyone who works there and forget even seeing your family or friends. Your family is now a headset and a script. Every shred of dignity you have will be eradicated if you work here. However if you enjoy working for people who don’t care about you, won’t give you the time of day, won’t do their jobs properly and will fire you in an instant, by all means, come here.

Pros

Close to leadership. Constant training and advice at hand whenever needed. Great working atmosphere. Competitive and friendly Great earning potential. Pays more than most associate consultant roles with a chance to earn uncapped commission on all placements. Opportunities for progression are many. Always pushed and encouraged to progress in the company

Cons

Working hours. Not necessarily a bad thing but make sure you are okay with the work life balance before committing. It's not for everyone. Be ready to lock in.

Pros

High Base Pay,, Strong comms structure, Established business with strong understanding of the market and how to work it. Strong team culture due to US working hours, means the team is tight and believes in the future of the business. Great location to work in

Cons

Working hours, however unavoidable, it does take a certain person who actually wants to work to be successful in terms of their career and finance not someone who comes to work for a good time. The team does create a good working atmosphere but they are going to be days where you may yearn for a normal working shift pattern

Pros

There's a few good people here, but most of them talk about finding a new job daily.

Cons

Toxic environment. Very high turnover. In the interview you're sold a dream but it's far from the truth. Houston office seems to have no structure or leadership - CEO comes in for just a few hours a week to shout at people. Micromanagement to the MAX. When you join you quickly realize that most of your colleagues hate it there, and for good reason.
