Pros

All shorts of perks which most of the company provides like free food, drinks, gym membership.

Cons

Few employees doesn't support you and doesn't provide clear information to you which is needed for your work. Blame game but done in the way that its not easily detectable. They want employees to perform from the day 1 like super human even though they have complex products(not easy to understand) This company fires people frequently. I have seen few employees joined and came from different state to work for this company and they got lay off in couple of months even though they performed really well. Whenever new management comes in they started firing people to please upper stakeholders. Its all about pleasing upper stakeholders. An advice from my end is that if you joined this company and see changes in your team or your manager leaves please start looking for a job. your job is not secure here.

Pros

- Pool table, bar, free coffee, free lunches ….all the superficial things to try and mask a good company “culture” in my opinion.

Cons

In my opinion the senior management team is like a boys club and you are made to feel isolated if you aren’t in the “club”. - When Covid hit the management were reluctant to let us wfh until they basically had to because of the government implementing lockdown….in my opinion we were literally the last company in AU to be able to wfh which made me feel that they don’t trust their employees !!! - Fast growing company , in my opinion it’s about about the revenue and lots of pressure constantly by managers because they are constantly under presssure. Became a stressful environment to work in. - lots of big egos in my opinion amongst the sales team , everyone is fighting for attention from the executives , and many people get too loud and out of hand at work and office events as there is lots of drinking.

We have never had an employee from, or work in, Darwin, nevertheless I would like to address the review. Like most companies in Australia we had staff WFH, return to the office, WFH and so on for almost 2 years. Since Australia has opened back up we have introduced a hybrid working environment allowing ALL staff to work from home 2-3 days depending on their department. Hopefully this is evidence of the trust we have in our people. Our monthly staff engagement rating (s/o Culture Amp) for the last 12 months has averaged about 85% (86% in September) - this is above or equal to both benchmarks we measure ourselves against : -Top 25% of Fintechs globally -Top 10% of Australian businesses with 100-200 employees This year we have also been certified as a Great Place to Work, while we finished in the Top 10 in the AFR Best Place to Work awards (Banking, Super & Fin Services category). Finally, I think the other reviews on this platform paint a different picture to this review. I'd welcome further discussion on this, particularly at which stage during the 3 years at CW you felt these Cons started to appear. PC

Pros

Catered lunch, office is nice

Cons

Leadership lack experience running a tech company, operating like they run a sales call centre. If you're into shoeys at company events you will fit right in especially with management. Extremely cliquey and many are very agreeable to please leaders at the top.
