I have been working at Edelman full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Diversity of work, large client list, flexibility and good work/life balance, fantastic people to work with

    Cons

Some processes are out of date and there are times when work can suffer due to unrealistic expectations or turnarounds or low budgets. But we do our best, always.

    Advice to Management

Reward the people that put the most heart into the company. They should be rewarded and feel valued. Work harder to match average salaries. Otherwise, you risk losing some of your best.

I worked at Edelman full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Employee friendly policies
    Good paymasters
    A lot of exposure
    MNC culture

    Cons

    Too much work pressure
    Bad work life balance
Even though it's an MNC it suffers from the usual office politics, where people are favoured basis their personal relations and not basis merit
Consumer team especially suffers from all these issues
They don't hire more resources and keep piling work on the current team

    Advice to Management

When you seek feedback from employees, it's ideal to keep that information discreet
Please don't favour people just on the basis of how long they have been associated with you, if an old employee mistreats a new employee, this shall still be damaging to your reputation in the market and the attrition rate will keep increasing

    Pros

You get to work for some big brands. Writing all forms of content for technology companies. These include case studies, white papers, social media content, media articles for CXOs of client organizations, and research reports.

    Cons

Acute cronyism, mediocrity, bias in selection (anyone can get into the company if she/he knows a senior account director there or has a family friend who knows the senior account director), bullying, aggressive behavior towards new joiners, work from options extended only to cronies, high attrition at account executive/senior account executive level, some account directors are permanent lifelong employees. Some directors are insecure about juniors, especially ones that don't pander to their ego, so they will make life difficult for such employees until they quit. One particular director's modus operandi is to load people he dislikes with tons of work whenever there are long weekends (for example, Durga Puja holidays), so the employee won't be able to enjoy the weekend.

    Advice to Management

End the tyranny of senior account directors
