Pros
Good pay, easy to get time off(per my location), you get paid to basically go to the gym lifting every morning.
Cons
Less than poor management. They use a untrustworthy AI scheduling system(zero consistency and shifts scheduled badly). The expectation is that you stay hours after your scheduled off time to close without altering shifts per necessity(or you will be docked an attendance point). There is zero wiggle room with family emergencies or medical needs, and HR does not care about employees(you are just a number). If you need time off for sick days, you need to have the average hourly shift time or you are ‘not allowed to be sick.’ Management does not care if you need clarification on training, and they also will not thoroughly train you with the expectation you will be as quick and knowledgeable as your GM within a week. Expect drama as the managers do about the same work as associates, but they count store merchandise and drawers(that’s about it). Management also does not do store orders along with scheduling, so they know about as much as any regular associate does relating to stock and item availability. At my location it was normal for managers to talk smack about employees to customers, other employees and leads on the clock. HR might’ve been helpful had they done something different in the last 20 years at this location. What a disappointment. Would shop here but would make sure anyone I knew steered as far away from here as possible for a job.
