Pros
The people are the best thing at AT&T. From your co-workers to the employee resource groups. Hands down the best part. The benefits package is solid and I think probably one of the better ones out there.
Cons
The commissions are an issue. I believe in continually setting the bar higher in order to get better, but AT&T's management looks for ways to get out of paying them. For instance, when I started at AT&T you were paid for every sale. Period. When I left, they had added so many stipulations to the commission there were 50 different ways for them to get out of paying you for any sales. So you may have sold 15 lines but at the end of the month you didn't hit whatever side benchmark they had placed priority on this month so you were paid Zero. Also, the performance reviews were so constant they could put you on an action plan at anytime. It sometimes seems like there are more employees on action plans than not on them. And guess what? That affects your commission too. Loved working with AT&T at the beginning. Hated waking up at the end.
