Pros

All of this depends on your agency. That’s why it’s so important to do your research and not jump to the first agency that hires you. Make sure you negotiate everything!! Pros: Sometimes flexible schedule, no official scorecards, small office, can sometimes work from home

Cons

Again, every agency is different so research and negotiate your pay and you won’t end up like me. Working at Allstate call center customer support has more benefits, better hours, and better pay than me. Do. Your. Research. People. Cons: - Horrible commission structure (only new business and no renewals wtf??) - micromanaging boss verbally nagging you about monthly quota - doesn’t matter if you meet the monthly quota and do everything right because agents are unappreciative so you will never hear good job - always short staff because of high turnover rates - Allstate is pushing all agents to return to office so no more WFH unless ill. Boss still wants you to work while ill but you better return to the office once you’re all better! - No opportunity for growth because agent wants you to stay for life. The most you’ll be is a senior office manager.

Pros

Remote Good management Flexible schedule PTO

Cons

Sales fluctuate month to month dramatically and lacks predictability (I've been in other sales industries where sales fluctuate, but are far more predictable and stable). It's truly all over the place, which makes financial budgeting impossible. Calling leads who are broke and can't afford quality coverage. Periods where it is completely dead- you can't get a person to answer the phone, regardless of making 200+ calls in a day.
