- You see useless colleagues getting promoted just because they are their manager's favorite and just because they do optics driven rubbish like sleeping overnight in office. Nevermind that stakeholders are not getting what they need or that deadlines by favorites are just fictional. - This place loves capping your compensation and finds new and creative methods to justify lowering your quality of life and pay year on year. (OWNERSHIP PEOPLE, OWNERSHIP) - The e-commerce business in Singapore is obviously dying. Everyone is just trying to look busy by updating pointless metrics every week and taking turns playing "shoot the weakest metrics". - Good luck with not rolling your eyes the clown shows whenever anyone with a higher job level visits. - For the non-AWS business (again, e-commerce), finding a local who is not in the peasant working class is like finding a rare Pokémon. We are like diversity hires. - Managers love to pit team members against one another and enjoy watch the stabbing happens. The prize? That elusive promotion that may or may not happen, with a scope that may not may not exist. And of course, you may or may not be exceeding the bar. But anything goes when you "Hire and Develop the Best". Best being very liberally defined.
