Pros
Most everyone has an opportunity to add value at Amazon. It's definitely a culture where great ideas are appreciated and,. sometimes, acted on. You are surrounded by smart, ambitious people.
Cons
It is a very competitive, cutthroat environment. Lots of smart people, but all are trying to hard to move ahead by any means neccessary. Many of the directors that I dealt with were very very poor people managers, but great at managing up. Not a place for the light hearted or those that need coddling.
