      Pros

      If you are a highly skilled, precocious developer who is passionate about programming, you might like the results-oriented culture that assumes you can figure out everything by yourself. Amazon stock is doing very well right now, so there's that (but it takes a year for any RSUs to vest).

      Cons

      If you are not a great programmer with little experience, you might just flail around and then get PIP'd. Benefits are good but pretty bare-bones relative to similar tech companies, with a terrible 401k match.

      Pros

      Cross training that helps for faster growth and more experience.

      Cons

      Sometimes you gotta hurry and find equipment or pit equipment before others snag them and leave you with the “bad” ones. That take forever to get repaired.

      Pros

      Really smart people, a lot of opportunity for growth, always encouraged to be innovative, think big, and create something new. Competitive salary and benefits with other major tech companies. 100% self motivating work environment. No dress code and 4 legged friends are welcome.

      Cons

      You have to be self motivated. NO ONE will hold your hand and tell you that you're doing a great job. If you need constant affirmations from management, this company isn't for you.
