Pros
Fun and dynamic job. Good pay and benefits
Cons
They do NOT need competent people in the company, just people available to do and say everything the managers want. I’ve done 4 month of trial with other 10 collegues in an Italian Apple store. I came from an IT company and I have a degree in computer science, so I knew everything about mac OSX and every other operating system. I am able to tell people all they need to know about Apple devices, from technical Specs to what they can do with their devices. I am able to solve problems and give advices to anyone about what they need to buy. I am also a logic pro X, iMovie and Final Cut advanced user and that was a problem... I was able to cover every role, so my collegues saw me as a threat, so they told manager bad and false things about me and managers belived them! So at the end of the trial I was the ONLY ONE who got kicked out. They gave excellent contracts to people who: - Din’t speak English - Didn’t know anything about softwares or technology - FORGOT TO GO TO WORK (one of my coworkers forgot his workshift twice, but hey, let’s give him a contract) -Didn’t respect company policies All of this under the eyes of very bad managers! The point is... do not trust your coworkers, because they’ll do anything to take you down, and the ONLY way to get a decent contract and carreer is to become friend of one of the manager and turn your “enemies” agains them.
