Pros
Great benefits package overall. Great gym, amazing canteen! The stock plan is well organised and it is a good way to invest in the company.
Cons
I am an Apple employee in Cork and I would suggest you to think twice before accepting a job in Apple Hollyhill. *Management* I have to say that I have never seen such poor management. People with no merit and no qualifications are managers in finance, apple care etc...I have seen 20 year-old people becoming manager after few years of work, no school, no real experience... It is the perfect place for mediocrity!! *Employees care* Funny story.. Apple is making a huge amount of money during pandemic, we as employees got a 15€ taxi voucher as a Christmas "present" and as a thanks for our hard work during the pandemic. This is ridiculous!! *Work/Life Balance* Managers (apart from AppleCare) do not respect your personal life. I have been asked why was I out sick when I took 1 day off because of my personal issues. I have been asked to log into the system and work during my Christmas holidays. *Inequalities* Apple is claiming to be the perfect place to work for inclusion and diversity but the truth is that Apple is discriminating a lot. People from different departments get different benefits, for example during Covid people in AppleCare got their internet reimbursed 50€/month, but in my team (finance) we didn't get anything, 0€!! When I asked if I could go back to my home country during Covid I was told that just higher managers could do it, the rest of us has to stay in Cork and pay incredibly expensive rents and sit in house arrest.
