Pros
Lots of interesting industrial projects. If you bring in your own contracts, you are in charge of them with plenty of assets. If you simply want free time for your hobbies & family, you can play it this way, too.
Cons
Poor sales team where I was. Fellow engineers who sell themselves to their customer were quickly out of work.
