Pros

Good pay - nothing else

Cons

Managers have landed themselves in that role with no training or knowledge of how to lead their team. So much miscommunication/lack of communication and then blaming staff for it. They tell staff to come in 5 days a week for training for the first two months but managers don't bother to come in themselves, all training was done via zoom. Office is depressing, no events, no staff get togethers, no rewards for working hard. Just toxic critique , bullying and blaming. If you care about your mental wellbeing I would avoid Citi.

Pros

Hybrid schedule, supportive managers, opportunities

Cons

Once you’re in, comp basically plateaus. Layoffs are happening across the board, which tends to be the full-time culture of citi. The vibe is very much “run lean” until something actually breaks, and only then consider adding headcount. You have to be intentional about protecting your work-life balance, because the implicit expectation is that you’re always on—24/7, 365—without the support of a properly staffed team.
