Employer only cares about profits. They have quarterly meetings with employees announcing the millions of dollar they are making in profits and they congratulate the employees for making that posible. At the end of the year they tell employees there is no budget for annual compensation increase. So they will give an insignificant increase year over year. I work for them for more that 10 years and they never approve an external training. They want you to use their useless and outdated online training system. So if you want to keep your skills updated you are on your own. Finally they promote themselves as publishing all open position on the company on the intranet, so everyone can see them. The problem is that you can apply to any of them but you will never hear back on any of the applications. You have to be connected or know the hiring manager other wise you have no growth opportunities.
