Pros

Allowed to work from home

Cons

So many, for a Fin Tech company the programs that they force employees to use is from 1995. There is no organization to it, information is not stored, it is hidden. This makes servicing callers almost impossible. Management is ruthless with the employees, there are frequent layoffs handled in a brutal manner. One person had worked extremely hard to accomplish an important goal for a big client. The day after completing the plan, he was summarily laid off. Chaos reigns, management refuses to make decisions about simple things like which holidays will be offered for the year. The benefits are barely there. There are big deductibles which makes going to the doctor expensive until the deductible is met. Who has $400.00 for an office visit, let alone lab work? The morale is low, everyone waits for their layoff after working mandatory overtime to achieve goals which will provide big bonuses for senior leaders, but not the ones who did the work. FIS is soul destroying, it is designed that way, senior leaders want to traumatize the employees. If their clients knew how ham handed they really were, no one would hire them.

Pros

Most colleagues are well intentioned, but stretched beyond the max.

Cons

After filing for FMLA, my “leader” encouraged me not to involve HR in the future. The whole point of FMLA is job protection. Him making this suggestion, at best, seems highly unethical and potentially illegal. Some leaders are good with people. Others are more techno sound. The ones that can effectively do both are let go. It makes no sense and the company offers little transparency.
