The company is led by immature leaders who have no idea what they are doing. Many of them have been at HubSpot for years with no other true experience. Many of them are spoiled and have no idea what it means to lead a company. When new mature leaders join, they leave within a year or two after seeing what the existing leadership is like. The HubSpot leaders are mostly the same type of person. They've also made it very hard for anyone including top performers to get promoted or see any upward mobility as these leaders want to protect themselves. In addition, HubSpot's fun tech remote culture turned into a breeding ground for people to not try at all. People don't answer emails or slacks, cancel most meetings, and don't get work done. I would be all for not having to work too hard if it meant people still put in some effort to build a successful work environment, but most don't even do that. I'm shocked the company hasn't lost all good talent and suffered more against competitors yet.
