Pros

HIgh hourly rate of pay. Bit of overtime available at times PTO WAH Radio station Benefits Cover each other’s calls on a team list sometimes. Coworkers sometimes helpful on Teams if you have a question, if they aren’t busy. Shift bids for different schedules if you are in good standing, understand, are productive.

Cons

Speak in acronyms & abbreviations. Old software falling apart shared by many different divisions. Difficult finding what pertains to your job & what buttons still function, lots of glitches. Management is technologically challenged, & unapologetic, blaming it all on you, while lacking effective training. Preceptors are sometimes brusque. Helps if you are a robot humanoid able to debug, to avoid hours with IT, survive the chaos, & not get emotional. IT in India is called often, to patch things here & there. If you notice it’s missing, & know to ask for it. AI in some departments & it’s spreading. Feel creepy calling “do not calls” to ask if the do not call pertains to you. Difficult to know why you are calling, know what codes mean, but info is not given, just have to know. Antiquated system complicates the job, hinders productivity. Training says you’ll learn job specifics with the preceptor. Preceptor says you should’ve learned everything in training & tries to shame you for asking questions & wanting to feel prepared & not disorientated. There’s a gap between the two stages. Sift through tons of documents looking for answers while some are outdated or maybe another division’s. You’re desperate for any clue, guidance.
