Pros
Eligible for some benefits as a Variable Staff Pharmacist Supervisors and many coworkers were nice enough Okay job for those who desperately need a job without other immediate options Got to work from home
Cons
Pay is one of the lowest I have encountered as a pharmacist and appears to get lower every year. Case rate expectations are high with quality goals that are very hard to hit. Seems like most people get weeded out and let go through the 1st few months after training. Every second is measured through clock punches which is converted to metrics. Not enough time to properly review the case along with the numerous computer systems and internal/external resources you are expected to use for reviews Will cut your shift or rearrange your schedule via unpaid "split-shifting" method that requires you to still stick around to work later but have to wait unpaid until you can. Seems like they change their minds on how to do things or make things more difficult on an almost weekly basis making it very difficult to not make mistakes. Actual direction help getting your questions answered can sometimes be difficult. Small chance or long wait times for getting full time status. From speaking with others seems like at least a 2 year waiting period to get a FTE position even if you consistently meet expectations.
