Pros
There are *some* great people that work here and the office is bright and airy. Many either get to travel internationally and take in house classes for continuing development. They do make some attempts to change or improve based on people's feedback. Free cheese. And other random goodies.
Cons
There are more people that work here that are not so great. The way decisions are made can be very erratic. In one instance, they will say that we cannot do something while they allow someone else to do it. Then they make every attempt to make sure no one knows about this but this doesn't work because someone always knows what's going on. Exceptions are made based on preferences and biases, not based on logic or consistency. When Lidl is confronted with facts and hard evidence regarding illogical decisions, three common behaviors occur: deflection, avoidance, or excuses. At this point in time, it is welcoming to be deflected and avoided rather than hear excuses from Lidl because their excuses are often warped reasonings that they adroitly piece together to make you feel like you are an idiot. Yes. True story. More than once. Human resources has been known to disclose specifics when complaints are brought up even though we are advised it is all confidential.
