    I worked at Lidl part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    The pay was great for me being 18 years old. Training was thorough and management was nice yet stern enough to make sure daily tasks were complete.

    Cons

    The hours were not very flexible. They really only offer 2 shifts. Under certain circumstances will they accommodate. Communication between morning and night crew should be worked on.

    Advice to Management

    Implement all things learned during training or clearly explain which aspects are not going to be used in store.

    gave me a lot of confidence in running a store and worked with alot of competent people

    Cons

    had a assistant manager that made life miserable. done absolutely nothing but made sure the work was getting done. would leave early when we would have to stay back. forget to work deliverys convienently realise 5 minutes before his shift finished ECT. for me it was mainly the management 1 in particular.

    Advice to Management

    advertise managerial positions to internal staff. based on years of experience on the company they are always the best managers.

    Decent wage compared to their competitors.
    Good promotion chances.

    Cons

    Harder work compared to their competitors, at Lidl you do everything, if you are on tills you are expected to jump off in between customers to stock shelves or clean up, even if you only get a few seconds to do it.
